TAMIYA presents the Volvo FH16, the first truck with 4 axles and a steerable double axle at the front. The chassis has been modified to an 8×4 configuration, making it the perfect base for a tow truck. The crane assembly is extremely robust and consists of many metal parts. The crane is powered by an optional ACU unit (Order number 300056553). This unit allows the crane to be moved up and down.

The model comes as a kit and already includes numerous additional parts, such as photo-etched parts for the grille, tensioning screws with chains for load securing, and more. The model has a substantial length of over 70 cm and is driven by the two rear axles. The TAMIYA TR Mighty Tuned Truck Motor (35T) ensures sufficient power.

For drive, lighting, and sound, the TAMIYA Multifunction Unit MFC-03 (300056523) is recommended. Due to the model’s considerable length, only the standard MFC LEDs need to be replaced with the special longer cable versions (300056549 to 300056551).

The FH16 is the first TAMIYA truck model where the cab is firmly screwed in place. This allows the MFC to be installed behind the seats, making the interior fully visible.

At least 4-channel remote control – recommended Carson Reflex Stick 500501006 (6-channel), 500501003 (14-channel), or 500501004 (14-channel LCD display)
7.2V NiMH battery pack, charger
TAMIYA TS paint for coloring
Steering servo + servo for transmission
Speed controller or TAMIYA Multifunction Unit MFC-03 300056523 for drive, light, and sound functions
Optional ACU unit (300056553) for crane arm operation
WARNINGS:
The instructions should be read and understood completely with an adult. Keep away from small children. Children should not put parts or packaging materials in their mouths. The model may have some sharp edges. Handle with care. Read the instructions included with the RC unit and keep them for future reference.

If difficulties arise during assembly, ask an adult to supervise or a model builder with RC experience or a specialist dealer.

Use tools only for their intended purpose. Improper use may cause injury.

If using paints and/or glue (not included in the kit), follow the instructions provided with them.

Keep the kit away from small children. Prevent children from putting any parts in their mouths or pulling plastic bags over their heads.
